Congratulations to the Class of 2022!

The 2022 Graduation at Rock Point School had laughter, tears, and a huge rainstorm! Luckily, the rain started once everyone was inside the tent and cleared up right after the ceremony. In the Quaker Meeting-style ceremony, many graduates and families shared stories and thank you’s to each other, friends, and Rock Point faculty.

Prom 2022

Prom is a rite of passage for many high school students. It can also be a source of stress and anxiety, a time when some people feel left out or overlooked. At Rock Point School, we want prom to be a celebration of spring and the end of the school year that every student can enjoy. We try to infuse fun and not take things too seriously, which is why the dress code is flexible and often involves costumes and wigs. While it’s unlikely that you’ll see “Prom-posals” in the hallways, our students get excited about our prom traditions, and the prom committee loves creating a fun theme that stays secret from the rest of the school.

New England Youth Identity Summit 2022

On April 1, 2022, five students and Residential Educator, Stanton Eddy, headed to Portland, Maine for the New England Youth Identity Summit. The goal of the summit this year was to build bridges and create a vision for strong multicultural communities. With the theme, “Tell it like it is. Make it what it can be,” students were challenged to examine cultural norms and differences and imagine a better future for their communities.

Student Leadership in Reflections on Feminism

Every week the Rock Point School student community gathers for Reflections, a morning meeting involving conversation about the significant issues facing the world. Students are challenged to think about their beliefs and dialogue about their thoughts. Often students with a particular passion will volunteer to give a presentation. Our latest talk, on Feminism, was given by Frances '23.

Maple 5k Raises Funds for Ukraine

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Maple 5k Run this weekend! The morning of the race was chilly, but dry - perfect weather for a race. With over 40 racers of all ages, the competition was fun and positive. We were very impressed with the race winner, Nick Kidder, who finished in 19:34!

Maple 5k Run on March 26, 2022

Join us for a fun 5k race to celebrate maple sugaring season on March 26, 2022! The racecourse will go through the Rock Point Property next to our sugarbush and on the Burlington Bike Path.
