This year we continued our annual holiday traditions of a multicultural service followed by dinner and a "Secret Santa" gift exchange.
The service was beautiful and heartfelt; our community coming together to share our joy in each other and in the light that will now begin to return to the world as the earth tilts back towards the sun once more.
Dinner was another delicious effort by our Farm to School crew; we are so lucky to live near such excellent local sources of fresh food.
Secret Santa was a blast as always; everyone got exactly what they wanted! Okay, perhaps that's an exaggeration, but, you know, it's the thought that counts. In truth, many handmade things and carefully purchased items were exchanged with hugs all around.
We were also blessed with the appearance of Santa Claus (or several Santa Clauses) Mrs Claus, and some reindeer to spread the cheer of the season. Somehow the seniors didn't make it to the celebration ... where could they have been ... (hint hint)
All in all, a festive sendoff to vacation and a beautiful way to end the year, in true Rock Point style, celebrating community and each individual's unique contribution to it. Happy New Year everyone!
