17th annual wiffle ball tournament to benefit Rock Point School

June 20 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.

• youth teams (little league age/young teens) of 4 players play “running” wiffle ball
• Youth teams = $10/player

June 21 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

• teams of 2 adults or adult-youth combo play “hit for distance – with ghost runners” wiffle ball.

All games played at Rock Point on the school’s upper field and the D.G. Weaver Field behind the school.

Sportsmanship first, competition second – join us for a day of play.

Team entry fee = $100 suggested fundraising goal/team, sponsorships of more encouraged – raffle prizes for teams that register with $100 or more.

Support Wiffle Fest 2014!

Dear Friends of Rock Point School:

We are hosting our 17th annual wiffle ball tournament at Rock Point and are hoping you will support our efforts to raise money for scholarships. Rock Point School is an independent, non-profit day and boarding high school nestled in between Burlington High School and North Beach. We serve approximately 30 students each year, providing opportunities for teens to transform their relationship with themselves and others. Our students are all individual thinkers who look for meaning in their lives and the world around them. They succeed in our educational setting because we strike a balance of accepting them as who they are, and at the same time challenging them to reflect and make life decisions that will allow them to step forward in life with confidence and a solid voice. Perhaps you were an independent learner or know people who are?

Ways you can help:

• Sponsor a field – have a field named after your business. You can provide a banner or we can order one for you to post on the outfield fence. Your business name will be on all of the tournament material, on our website ( www.rockpointschool.org ), and named verbally during the tournament. Cost: $300, not including cost of banner Banners Unlimited is offering discounted banners for businesses making banners for this event.
• Sponsor a team – have a team play with your business name as their team name. Your business will be on all tournament material, on our website, and named verbally during the tournament. $300.
• Donate to RPS, either financially or in kind.
• Come visit the school, understand what we are doing, and tell people about the opportunities that are here for teens.
